Pokémon GO Fest is the biggest event of the year - join us in Sapporo!

Sapporo, get ready. Pokémon GO Fest is coming! Trainers will need to explore the city and Nakajima Park to get the full experience.

Morning Park Experience

A ticket for the morning session offers the event experience within Nakajima Park from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the city event experience from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. There will be a one-hour intermission between sessions to allow Trainers time to move between areas.

Please note that you will only be able to experience event gameplay within the event venue during your in-park hours.

About Nakajima Park
Where is the entrance?

Gates can be found at these two locations:

  • North side of Nakajima Park, near to exits 1 and 3 of the Nakajima-Koen Station on the Nanboku Line.
  • South side of Nakajima Park, near to exits 1 and 2 of the Horohira-Bashi Station on the Nanboku Line.
Is there parking?

As there is no parking available on the premises, please use public transport to make your way here.

Once I’ve arrived at the venue (Nakajima Park & Sapporo city), how do I join the event?

Open the Pokémon GO app when you get to Nakajima Park or Sapporo during the date and time stated on your ticket.

  • Trainers in the venue who do not have a ticket will not have access to the event-exclusive content.
Other
  • Children may participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian. For children under 14, a ticket must be purchased for the attending child and for the parent or guardian accompanying them.
  • You will not be able to participate in the event outside of Sapporo, even with a ticket.
  • There are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You will see “Tickets Available!” next to the “Pokémon GO Fest 2022: Sapporo” event ticket link if the event hasn’t sold out.
  • The event experience will be available only at this location on the specified date and time.

  • Child Accounts:
    Trainers with child accounts can attend events when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Their parent or guardian must reserve a ticket for themselves and for any children that will be attending. To register, the email associated with the parent or guardian’s Pokémon GO account must match the parent or guardian’s email address on file with Niantic Kids or Pokémon Trainer Club.

What should I do if an error occurs in the game?
  • For frequently asked questions regarding events, please refer to the Pokémon GO Help Center. In most cases, the issue can be resolved by restarting the app or device.
  • If you have purchased an event ticket but are still not able to access the event-exclusive content, please visit the Pokémon GO Technical Support Area located in the park’s Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza). For any other issues during the event, please contact support via the app.
Health & safety
COVID-19 prevention measures
  • This event will be run in conjunction with the local guidelines established by Hokkaido and Sapporo to prevent the spread of COVID-19. To ensure everyone can safely enjoy the event, we ask that Trainers adhere to infection-prevention policies, such as refraining from using a loud voice or shouting when speaking, and keeping a reasonable distance from others whenever possible. Please take good care of your health leading up to the event, and refrain from attending if you feel unwell or any of the following applies to you on the day of the event.

    • You have a temperature of 99.5°F (37.5℃) or higher.
    • You feel unwell. (For example, if you have any of the following symptoms, such as a temperature 1.8°F (1℃) higher than normal, a fever of 99.5°F (37.5℃) or over, a cough, a sore throat or headache, lethargy, and/or a loss of, or change in, taste or smell.)
    • You believe you have been infected with COVID-19.
    • Someone you live with or someone close to you has been infected or is believed to have come into contact with someone infected.
    • You have not yet finished your quarantine period after entering the country or coming into contact with someone infected.
  • Primary safety measures at the venue

    • Splatter shields will be installed at physical vendors.
    • Booths will be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized.
    • All staff will wear masks and will not be permitted to work if they have a fever or are feeling unwell.
    • Hand sanitizer will be available around the venue.
Heatstroke prevention measures
  • The risk of heatstroke increases when wearing a mask. To avoid heatstroke, you may remove your mask while outside and are not talking. We also ask that you manage your personal health and wellbeing by keeping hydrated, wearing a hat, carrying a portable fan, etc.
  • We ask that parents/guardians prioritize their child’s personal health first and foremost before considering their use of a mask.
  • Trainers can find drinks in the park from vending machines, water fountains, and the Ito En drinks tent located in Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza).
Sickness aid for participants

A medical tent staffed with trained medical professionals will be set up in Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza).

Lost or missing children

Please speak to staff at the information center located in Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza).

Harassment

If you experience any kind of harassment, please speak to staff at the information center located in Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza).

Garbage
  • Please take all of your garbage home with you.
  • There are no garbage bins in the park.
Battery charging

There will be a paid ChargeSpot tent available in Jiyu Hiroba (Freedom Plaza). Batteries will also be available for purchase in the SoftBank tent.

Lost & found

Please speak to staff at the information center located in the venue for any items you have lost while in Nakajima Park. On Monday, August 8, 2022, any lost items will be sent to the Sapporo Area Minami Police Station. Please check that you have all your belongings before going home.

Inclement weather

This event will be held regardless of the weather. However, it may be postponed in the case of extreme weather or natural disasters. The event may also be postponed depending on the current COVID-19 infection rates, or if any restrictions are applied to holding events.

Please check weather forecasts prior to attending the event and wear appropriate clothing.

Pokémon GO x Sapporo “Shopping & Souvenirs” Campaign will be running at select stores.

What kind of campaign is this?

Show the Pokémon GO game screen on your device to staff at select stores and hotels around central Sapporo to receive an exclusive “Pokémon GO FEST Sapporo” postcard.

How can I receive the giveaway?

You can receive the giveaway in the following two ways:

[Method 1]

Visit select stores (*1) during the event and show the Pokémon GO game screen to a staff member.

[Method 2]

Trainers staying at select Sapporo hotels (*2) between August 4–6 can show the Pokémon GO game screen to a member of staff at the front desk when they check in (*3).

  1. Posters will be displayed at the front of stores participating in the giveaway.
  2. For a list of participating hotels, click here.
  3. Hotels will distribute giveaways after the check-in time stated on their websites. Please refrain from lining up inside the hotel before your check-in time.

Giveaways will be limited to one per trainer.

Giveaways will only be distributed to trainers with the Pokémon GO app installed and an active account.

There will be a limited number of giveaways distributed at each participating store. Giveaways will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

You must be 18 years or older to participate in this campaign. Trainers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
