Get a Super Incubator and 1,000 Stardust when you link and validate your Pokémon Trainer Club account

We’ve made an update to how you log in to Pokémon GO using your Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) account. For more detailed information about this change, please see this blog post.
From now until January 31, 2024, local time, Trainers will receive Timed Research that rewards a Super Incubator and 1,000 Stardust when they validate or link their PTC account. Trainers who have already connected their PTC accounts to Pokémon GO will also receive this research and its rewards.
Please note that Trainers who log in via a Niantic Kids account aren’t eligible to receive this Timed Research or these rewards. Trainers who previously used Niantic Kids but are older than their region’s age of digital consent are eligible.
Validating an existing PTC account
If you have previously linked your PTC account to Pokémon GO, you’ll receive Timed Research that rewards a Super Incubator and 1,000 Stardust when you validate your login. If you’ve already logged in to your PTC account using the new web log-in method, this Timed Research will automatically complete and your rewards will be available to claim immediately.
Follow these steps to validate your PTC account.
- Open Pokémon GO.
- Tap the Main Menu button.
- Tap the Settings button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Account.
- Tap the Validate button under the Linked Accounts section.
Note: The PTC account you use to validate must match the account that’s linked with your Niantic Profile. - Follow the prompts to log in to the PTC account linked to your Niantic Profile.
If you’ve already logged in to your PTC account using the new log-in method, you may not see the option to Validate; you may instead see your Pokémon Trainer Club account listed as Linked. If this occurs, your Timed Research will automatically be completed and your rewards can be claimed immediately.
If you’ve forgotten your PTC username or password, you can recover them here. If you need further assistance, please contact The Pokémon Company International’s Customer Support team here. In some cases, your Pokémon Trainer Club account username may appear on the Account screen as Linked with Username.
Please note that this Timed Research expires on January 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time, so make sure you validate your account and claim your rewards before then. Failing to validate your PTC account may result in you being automatically logged out, and you will have to log in again before you can continue playing Pokémon GO.
Linking a PTC account to Pokémon GO
Follow these steps to connect a PTC account to Pokémon GO.
- Create a PTC account at club.pokemon.com if you haven’t already.
- Open Pokémon GO.
- Tap the Main Menu button.
- Tap the Settings button in the top-right corner.
- Tap Account.
- Tap the Link button under the Linked Accounts section.
- Follow the prompts to log in to your PTC account.
Once you have linked your PTC account, the Timed Research will complete and you’ll be able to claim your rewards. But don’t forget that this Timed Research will expire on January 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time, so link your account as soon as you can!
