Thanks for taking part in Pokémon GO Tour: Johto and Pokémon GO Tour: Live!

Trainers,

During the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event—our first major event in 2022—millions of Trainers participated from around the world to celebrate the Johto region. Trainers set out to complete Special Research, encounter Celebi, and rescue Shiny Gyarados. Those who completed the research began a highly difficult Masterwork Research story centered around a quest to save Apex Shadow Lugia and Apex Shadow Ho-Oh from the clutches of Team GO Rocket. Participating Trainers completed over 100 million field research tasks, traveled over 40 million km, and caught over 750 million Pokémon!

Set against Parque Fundidora’s stunning mountain backdrop and woven within Kaohsiung’s beautiful Lantern Festival, we celebrated Pokémon GO Tour: Live. Taking a step into Kanto, Trainers were able to explore five distinct habitats to complete Collection Challenges. Across Monterrey and Kaohsiung, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres appeared in raids, and Trainers throughout each city joined the experience.

This is just the beginning of Pokémon GO’s events for this year, and we couldn’t be more excited to share them with you.
