Whether you’re a resident of São Paulo or a first-time visitor, your Pokémon GO City Safari will take you across the city in an all-new way—from historic landmarks to local favorites, get ready for a taste of the city with Pokémon GO by your side!

Trainers can either purchase a ticket for one day of the two-day event or a one-day ticket with an additional second day add-on. One-day tickets are R$45 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase on the Pokémon GO City Safari website. You will see “Tickets Available” next to the Pokémon GO City Safari: São Paulo event ticket if it hasn’t sold out yet. Event gameplay will be available only for the date, time, and location specified on your ticket.
Note: Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets are first come, first served and are available for purchase while supplies last.
Find a whole city of adventure waiting for you when you embark on a Pokémon GO City Safari! Encounter event-themed wild Pokémon throughout the city, complete City Safari–exclusive Special Research, and explore the rich culture in and around São Paulo!
There’s no right or wrong way to enjoy a City Safari! This format allows Trainers to enjoy the citywide experiences at their own pace, catching Pokémon and making friends with other Trainers along the way.
Ticket-holding Trainers can gear up to assist Professor Willow and Eevee in learning more about the Pokémon appearing during the event. And Eevee seems ready for a big adventure—Trainers will encounter Eevee wearing an explorer hat at the beginning of the City Safari Special Research!*
We encourage Trainers to travel and explore the city with their new Eevee as a buddy. What exciting discoveries will you make together?
If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
^ The only way to obtain these Pokémon wearing an explorer hat is by evolving an Eevee wearing an explorer hat using 25 Eevee candy.
Special Pokémon will appear across São Paulo during the event! Plus, you’ll be able to exclusively encounter Skiddo, the Mount Pokémon! Skiddo will currently only appear during Pokémon GO City Safari 2024 events, but it may appear worldwide at a later date.
Tip: You can upgrade your ticket with the Egg-thusiast add-on to unlock a 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus during the event! Ticket add-ons are active for both the Saturday and Sunday of Pokémon GO City Safari: São Paulo.

Don’t know where to start your adventure? With an entire city to explore, the Eevee Explorers Timed Research experience can help you set off on an exciting tour of notable locations, landmarks, and even some local favorite spots!
Visit locations across the city to complete this event-exclusive Timed Research, which awards an additional encounter with Eevee wearing an explorer hat with a São Paulo Location Card at each location you visit!*

Ticket-holding Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., anywhere in São Paulo on their ticketed day!
Trainers will be able to begin the adventure from one of the three meeting areas. There, you’ll be able to recharge your batteries with in-person PokéStop phone chargers, grab an adventure map at special information tents to guide you through the city—and make new friends with other Trainers, of course!
From the meeting areas, you can explore six dedicated regions, all co-planned with SPTuris, the city of São Paulo Tourism Secretary. Discover the diversity and uniqueness of São Paulo in these areas!
Lots of fun awaits! The meeting areas will be filled with activities and photo opportunities for all Trainers, newcomers and veterans alike!

Did you know that in Brazil, summer starts in December? That means you’ll want to grab a Pikachu sun visor at any of the meeting areas** to protect yourself from the sun—and shine a little extra fun on your journey through São Paulo!
**There will be a limited number of visors distributed at each location on a first-come, first-served basis.
São Paulo’s massive parks are scattered all across the city and are among its most iconic landmarks. And some of them will have special PokéStops that will help you complete your Special Research—including the world famous Ibirapuera Park.
The park is considered one of the top five best places to play Pokémon GO in the world, and this will be your chance to experience it and interact with local Trainers!
At the Cidade São Paulo Mall meeting area, you’ll also be able to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience: the very first Pokémon holiday celebration in Brazil! Come and snap photos with a 50-foot tall tree filled with Pokémon, discover Pokémon throughout the mall itself, pick up a Collection Challenge, and have a chance to battle and catch Lapras wearing a scarf!
In each of the meeting areas, you’ll be able to get a stamp on your adventure map. If you get one from all three meeting areas, you can redeem them for a special prize!***

São Paulo has excellent transit options. The subway is undoubtedly the fastest way to get from one place to another—and many subway stations will even have Pokémon GO fun waiting to be discovered!
Vans will also be available to transport Trainers from one meeting area to another. They are free of charge and will have boarding areas in each meeting area, making getting to each a snap!
You can participate from anywhere in the city of São Paulo! We recommend you start from one of the three meeting areas to grab a map and make friends.
While we recommend using public transportation, you can also find parking lots at two of the meeting areas, the Cidade São Paulo and Shopping D Malls. Please be sure to confirm prices and availability in advance.
All of the meeting areas and event spaces will have either public or venue-owned restrooms. Please check availability at each location.

In order to enjoy the event gameplay of Pokémon GO City Safari: São Paulo, you must be physically present in São Paulo.
Simply open Pokémon GO in São Paulo on the date and time stated on your event ticket. Trainers who do not have a ticket will not have access to the event-exclusive content even if they are physically present in São Paulo. The in-person live activities are available for everyone, even those without tickets.
Event gameplay will be available at the designated locations throughout São Paulo on the specified dates and times.
Trainers will not be able to participate in the event outside São Paulo even if they purchase a ticket.
Tickets for this event, including the purchase of any add-ons, are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). There are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Trainers with child accounts can attend events when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Their parents or guardians must purchase a ticket for themselves and for any children who will be attending this event. To register, the email associated with the parent or guardian’s Pokémon GO account must match the parent or guardian’s email address on file with Niantic Kids or Pokémon Trainer Club.

For frequently asked questions regarding events, please refer to the Pokémon GO Help Center. In most cases, the issue can be resolved by restarting Pokémon GO or your device.
Please remember to stay hydrated, and consider other measures to protect yourself from heat and sun, like wearing a hat.
Trainers can purchase drinks in the city from convenience and drug stores, local markets, and so forth.
Please prioritize your child’s well-being if you are bringing them to the event.
Some of the meeting areas and event spaces may have smoking restrictions, so please be sure to check before smoking in a given area.
All meeting areas and event spaces will have trash disposal areas, and the city has many garbage bins available for use. Please refrain from throwing away garbage outside of designated locations.
Each of the meeting areas will be equipped with PokéStop phone chargers where Trainers can take a break and charge their devices. We also recommend bringing a fully charged portable power bank to ensure uninterrupted gameplay.
This event will be held regardless of the weather. However, in the case of extreme weather or natural disasters, the event may be suspended. Please check the local weather forecast before coming to the event and wear appropriate clothing.

In addition to our live events, we’re offering Trainers the chance to enhance their event experience with optional add-ons. Ticket add-ons are active for both days of Pokémon GO City Safari: São Paulo (Saturday and Sunday). Trainers with the ticket add-ons will be able to take advantage of the bonuses even on the day that they aren’t taking part in ticketed gameplay.

Enjoy two days of adventure in São Paulo! After selecting either a Saturday or Sunday ticket, Trainers can purchase an add-on for the other day to make the most of their time.
Purchasing a Saturday or Sunday add-on gives Trainers an extra day to enjoy the following bonuses.

Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lures) activated during the event will last for four hours
Restrictions for the Saturday/Sunday add-ons apply. Trainers will only receive the event Special Research once.
If you would like to purchase a ticket for one of your friends, you’ll need their username. While purchasing, there are boxes that you can fill in with the usernames of the friends that you would like to buy tickets for—one name per box.
Note: You must be at least Great Friends with the Trainer you wish to give a ticket to. You must also assign the entire quantity of tickets that you selected to eligible friends before you can proceed to payment. You can only purchase tickets for one date and time per order, so all friends will receive tickets for the same date and time.
