Event Gameplay

Pokémon GO Wild Area comes to Fukuoka November 16–17!

All event gameplay is exclusive to ticket holders, unless otherwise noted. Gameplay will only be available within Maizuru Park during your ticketed Park Experience time.

Gigantamax Toxtricity is ready to rock!

Get ready—Gigantamax Toxtricity will make its Pokémon GO debut in Max Battles during Pokémon GO Wild Area: Fukuoka! Reports indicate that groups of 10–20 Trainers should be able to defeat and catch this formidable Power Spot Boss.

Gigantamax Pokémon cannot be transferred to Pokémon HOME.

Toxtricity & Dynamax Toxtricity make their Pokémon GO debut!

This Electric- and Poison-type GO Wild Area event features the Pokémon GO debut of Toxtricity, the Punk Pokémon! Ticket holders may encounter a Shiny Toxtricity, if they’re lucky.

Attendees will also be able to encounter Dynamax Toxtricity by completing Max Battles during the event and as a Special Research reward encounter.

Introducing mighty Pokémon!

This year’s Pokémon GO Wild Area will have plenty of Electric- and Poison-type Pokémon, but that’s not all! Trainers may also find themselves in encounters with unusually powerful opponents known as mighty Pokémon! All mighty Pokémon have some shared traits.

  • More likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings
  • More likely to be XL or XXL
  • More difficult to capture

Trainers may even encounter Shiny versions of these mighty Pokémon, if they’re lucky! Using the new GO Safari Ball when trying to capture these Pokémon will greatly improve your chance of success.

Be one of the first to use a GO Safari Ball in Pokémon GO!

GO Safari Balls will make their Pokémon GO debut during this event. GO Safari Balls are highly effective Poké Balls that make capturing Pokémon much easier. Try using one when encountering a mighty Pokémon!

Be one of the first to use this Poké Ball in Pokémon GO—and make sure to use them all before the event ends.

Ticket holders will receive a Timed Research task during their ticketed event hours that awards a small number of GO Safari Balls when completed. Additionally, they will receive one Timed Research task each hour during the event that awards additional GO Safari Balls. These tasks will expire one hour after they are issued,so all rewards must be claimed before then—don’t forget!

You’ll also have a chance to acquire GO Safari Balls when spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops during the event—if you’re lucky!

All unused GO Safari Balls will expire and disappear from your Item Bag at 5:00 p.m. JST each day of the event. Please note that GO Safari Balls will not be as effective outside of Fukuoka.

What legendary surprises might the unexplored GO Wild Area contain?

Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will appear in raids during this event, and Trainers with an active GO Wild Area: Fukuoka ticket or citywide add-on will have a chance at encountering these Pokémon. On top of that, they may come with their signature attacks—Origin Forme Dialga may know the Charged Attack Roar of Time, and Origin Forme Palkia may know the Charged Attack Spacial Rend!

Adventure Effects are also reported to occur when these moves are used outside of battle!

Adventure Effects

Adventure Effects are temporary bonuses to help you on your Pokémon GO adventure, activated by powerful Pokémon attacks that may be used outside of battle. Adventure Effects have been reported to occur when Origin Forme Dialga uses Roar of Time, and when Origin Forme Palkia uses Spacial Rend.

Adventure Effect: Roar of Time

Trainers who encounter and defeat Origin Forme Dialga in a Raid Battle have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Roar of Time.*

Trainers can activate the Adventure Effect associated with Roar of Time by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga Candy, distorting time for 6 minutes and pausing the timer of the following items: Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces.

You can extend the timer for Roar of Time’s Adventure Effect in increments of 6 minutes by using more Stardust and Dialga Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time you tap Use, and you can tap Use again to add additional time—up to 24 hours total!

Once Roar of Time ends, the timer on any active items will continue to count down. Roar of Time cannot be active at the same time as any other Adventure Effect.

Adventure Effect: Spacial Rend

Trainers who encounter and defeat Origin Forme Palkia in a Raid Battle have a chance to catch one that knows the Charged Attack Spacial Rend.*

Trainers can activate the Adventure Effect associated with Spacial Rend by using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy, distorting space for 10 minutes and allowing for encounters with wild Pokémon at an increased distance.

You can extend the timer for Spacial Rend’s Adventure Effect in increments of 10 minutes by using more Stardust and Palkia Candy. The timer can be extended up to two hours each time you tap Use, and you can tap Use again to add additional time—up to 24 hours total!

Once Spacial Rend ends, Trainers will only encounter wild Pokémon within normal distance limits. Spacial Rend cannot be active at the same time as any other Adventure Effect.

*At this time, Origin Forme Dialga will be unable to learn Roar of Time via any TM.

*At this time, Origin Forme Palkia will be unable to learn Spacial Rend via any TM.

*Smeargle that appear via surprise encounters in GO Snapshot can learn attacks from the Pokémon they appear with, but Smeargle can’t learn Roar of Time or Spacial Rend.
