Are you ready for the biggest Pokémon GO event of the year? Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global is almost here, and we’re excited to share some final details.
Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global
Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day
Anyone can join the fun!
Join up with millions of Trainers from around the world and get ready for Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global! With over 70 Pokémon appearing during the event—including some appearing as Shiny for the first time in Pokémon GO—this is the most exciting time to play!
Trainers can participate in this global event at no cost from anywhere in the world!

Upgrade your experience with an event ticket!
You can upgrade your experience with an event ticket, which you can purchase now via the in-game shop or the Pokémon GO Web Store. Trainers with an event ticket will receive special bonuses and rewards—including an encounter with Mythical Pokémon Marshadow!

Habitat Rotation
All Trainers will have the opportunity to enjoy each habitat hour twice during event hours on Saturday!
Dawn Meadow
*10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. local time
*2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time
Shining Day
*11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. local time
*3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time
Creeping Dusk
*12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. local time
*4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Darkest Night
*1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time
*5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time
Field Research bonanza
On Saturday, July 13, Trainers will be able to collect Field Research tasks from PokéStops that change each hour from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time!
Special Backgrounds during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global
On Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, all Trainers will have a chance of receiving Special Backgrounds from Ultra Beasts and Necrozma in five-star raids after making a successful catch!
On Sunday, July 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, all Trainers will have a chance of receiving Special Backgrounds from Necrozma in five-star raids after making a successful catch! Ticket-holding Trainers will also encounter a Solgaleo or Lunala with a Special Background as a part of their ticketed Special Research. When fused with Necrozma with a Special Background, the resulting Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma will have its own variant of the background!

Ultra Unlock
During each habitat hour on Saturday, ticket-holding Trainers around the world can work together to complete a Global Challenge! If the challenge is completed in time, a special bonus will be unlocked for the remainder of the hour for ticket-holding Trainers.
Plus, if Trainers complete 20 challenges successfully, they will activate this year’s Pokémon GO Fest Ultra Unlock events!
Ultra Unlock, Part 1: Better Together
Better Together, a special, to-be-announced event, will take place from Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 22, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Ultra Unlock: Pokémon Debut
The following Pokémon will make its Pokémon GO debut!
Ultra Unlock: Free Timed Research
Timed Research featuring encounters with ??? and other event-themed Pokémon will be available throughout the event.
Ultra Unlock: Bonuses
- 2× Catch Candy
- 4× Catch XP
- Friendship levels will increase faster than normal through opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or battling together in raids, Gyms, or Trainer Battles
Ultra Unlock, Part 2: Strength of Steel
If Trainers complete a total of 20 Global Challenges, they’ll gain access to a to-be-announced special event that will take place on Thursday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time!
Also, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny ???—if you’re lucky!
Ultra Unlock, Part 3: Mega Raid Day
If Trainers complete a total of 20 Global Challenges, they’ll gain access to a to-be-announced special event that will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time!
Ultra Unlock: Mega Pokémon Debut
The following Pokémon will make its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids!
*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!
