Pokémon GO Travel Global Catch Challenge Complete!

Trainers,

What a week! Over the past seven days, our Pokémon GO Travel hosts, iHasCupquake, Coisa De Nerd, and Rachel Quirico, took us on all kinds of adventures across Japan. We’ve been to Tokyo Tower for a Tyranitar Raid Battle, to the foot of Mt. Fuji to catch a Lapras, to the streets of Kyoto for a Stardust challenge, and finally to the dunes of Tottori to play alongside thousands of other Trainers during the Pokémon GO Safari Zone event.

Meanwhile, millions of Trainers from more than 140 countries participated in the Pokémon GO Travel Global Catch Challenge, where they came together to collectively catch over 3.36 billion Pokémon in under seven days. After this incredible milestone was reached, Farfetch’d began showing up worldwide, Kangaskhan was spotted in East Asia, and Ho-Oh started appearing in Raid Battles for the very first time. Now it's your turn to get in on the action. Grab your friends and battle Ho-Oh in Legendary Raid Battles at Gyms near you before it disappears on December 12, 2017!

While the Pokémon GO Travel Global Catch Challenge was taking place, the Tottori Prefecture hosted a Pokémon GO Safari Zone event in the Tottori Sand Dunes from November 24 to 26. At the event, 89,000 Trainers came to the Tottori Sand Dunes to catch over 12 million Pokémon, including the mysterious Pokémon Unown. We’re constantly amazed by the dedication of our Trainers and are honored to have so many join us in person at events around the globe!

This Pokémon GO Travel event may have come to an end, but your adventure is just beginning. On a trip? Venturing to a new part of town? Share your adventures with us on your preferred social media channels by using #PokemonGO, and look out for ways to get involved in future Pokémon GO events taking place around the world.
