Take part in the Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India and earn amazing rewards!
Trainers,
We’re excited to announce that the Wayfarer Challenge is coming to Chile and India! This collaborative challenge takes place on the Niantic Wayfarer platform, where Trainers evaluate nominations for Wayspots—real-life locations that appear in Pokémon GO as the PokéStops and Gyms you’re familiar with. With the Wayfarer Challenge, you’ll be able to evaluate Wayspots and earn exclusive in-game rewards! Join in!
What is Niantic Wayfarer?
Niantic Wayfarer is a platform where Niantic Explorers can nominate interesting real-world locations to be turned into Wayspots, which appear in Pokémon GO as PokéStops and Gyms. Oh, and the Explorers are you, Pokémon GO Trainers—and players of other Niantic games, too.
How the Niantic Wayfarer Platform Works?
Trainers can nominate interesting locations, objects, and structures in their area to become Wayspots directly from Pokémon GO in the PokéStop Contributions section of the Settings menu. For example, you can choose a piece of street art, a sculpture, a graffiti wall, or a landmark in your neighborhood and nominate it to become a Wayspot.
Once you’ve nominated these locations, you can visit the Niantic Wayfarer platform to review the nominations from your region and vote on whether they should be eligible to become Wayspots. In Pokémon GO, Wayspots that are approved by enough players according to the Wayfarer criteria will appear in-game as new PokéStops and Gyms.

How it works?
