The Season of Alola Is Here!

A new in-game season is coming soon to Pokémon GO: the Season of Alola! Pokémon originally found in the Alola region will start appearing on March 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time!

  • Welcome to Alola: Get ready to meet Pokémon first found in the Alola region of the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games! This season’s kick-off event will run from Tuesday, March 1, 2022, to Wednesday, March 9, 2022!
  • Festival of Colors: From Tuesday, March 15, 2022, to Sunday, March 20, 2022, you can experience a fluttering of festive hues during the Festival of Colors!
  • Lush Jungle: From Tuesday, March 22, 2022, to Tuesday, March 29, 2022, get ready to brave the jungle during this Alola-inspired adventure!

A guardian deity of the Alola region, the Legendary Pokémon Tapu Koko will be making its Pokémon GO debut in five-star raids this March. Therian Forme Tornadus will also be appearing in five-star raids.

Pokémon Spotlight Hours

In the month of March, Pokémon Spotlight Hour will take place every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, and each will spotlight a different Pokémon and a special bonus!

Other Feature Updates

A new visual update will be released in March for Gyms and PokéStops. These in-game locations will now be visually different depending on whether you are within 40 m, within 80 m, or out of range of the location.

This change is purely visual in nature and will not impact gameplay.
